Foxy Lady

Well, I had completely forgotten about this blog site until I tried to set up a blog site today....and got my own site! I did not realize I had set this up over 2 years ago. Interesting, since so much has happened to me since then. SO much. Won't go into it now, just happy to be back at it and sharing my perspective.

I've always been attracted to nature, to animals and to the deeper meaning of the natural world. In my life, messages of all types have revealed themselves in the guise of feathers, rocks plants and of course, animals. A study of the indigenous cultures and their understanding of these natural messages has helped me become not only in tune with the world around me, but KNOWINGLY in tune. Meaning, I can now discern when a message is meant for me, or simply just a normal earthly acivity. This has taken time and practice but mostly it has taken trust.

This past month has given me several new messages, and perhaps I shall backtrack and share some of them eventually, but today I want to describe my encounter with Fox and her message to me.

I live in a lovely small rural town in Mississippi. It literally is “Mayberry” for those of you who can remember the Andy Griffith Show. (We have THE grocery, THE barbershop, THE post office, etc.) Anyway, it’s small and safe and just a lovely place to wake up in each day.

I try several times a week to take a bike ride through town, and part of my ride takes me past several interesting landmarks and buildings. There’s quite a history here being that we are a real civil war town, complete with antebellum homes and a military park, a confederate graveyard, and much more. Interestingly, there is also a Masonic lodge just a tenth of a mile from the local cemetery. All of these are within a couple of miles from each other. Anyway, I ride my bike in a loop that takes me past the same spots pretty much every day. Often I am priviledged to see interesting plants and animals as I ride along and I sometimes stop to get a better look or a quick photo. After many trips, I have learned where certain wildlife hang out, and I pause when riding past these spots, hoping to get a glimpse or personal encounter.

Up close, I have either seen or seen evidence of deer, snakes, buzzards (peace eagles), hawks, crows, turtles, egrets and herons, opossums, armadillos, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, bats and most recently - Fox.

I fist saw Fox about a month ago at the Masonic lodge site. To give a little back-story: the Masonic lodge is actually one of two lodges that are within 2 tenths of a mile of each other. Both display the sign and local number, so I don’t know if both are used, but in any case, I’ll call this site the “blue” lodge. It is about a hundred yards from the cemetery and is a real hotspot of animal activity. Many times I have seen one particular red tailed hawk hunting this area, and once found a dead bobcat just off the road near the building. Buzzards often hang out here at the old dead tree next to the lodge, and snakes and other animals cross the road here.

And so it was that on a morning about 9am, I rode my bike toward the lodge, looking and listening for Hawk, and right in front of me the most beautiful red fox crossed the road. (Now, this crossing happens to be right in front of the blue lodge, and was most certainly the same crossing that poor Bobcat used when he met his demise.)

I had not seen a fox at this late time of morning before, so I was amazed and excited. As I rode near, she disappeared quickly into the forest and was gone.

I rode off beaming and thanking Fox for allowing me to see her. I briefly thought about looking up the significance of Fox in my Ted Andrew’s book, but then I thought, “maybe later, it was just a brief sighting after all”. I have learned over time that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but when Divine Spirit wants to get your attention, the message will either be: 1) loud and clear or 2) persistent.

For a couple of weeks after that I did not see Fox, but 6 days ago I saw her again in a most unusual way. I was riding home, and had just passed the blue lodge and was coming up on the cemetery. As you reach the entrance to the cemetery the road winds noticeably uphill and corkscrews sharply to the right, with centuries old gravestones and family plots lining the edge of the hill and street. As I peddled hard up the hill, I got a glimpse of something moving along my right and glanced to see Fox trotting alongside me! At first I thought “WHAT?” but looked again and there she was, soaking wet, looking like she had just escaped from something, and trotting alongside me against the cemetery fence. We moved along the fence line together for about 30 yards and she then moved off toward an old shotgun house, and ran under it. Having at last reached the top of the hill, I paused for a moment and then rode over to the house to get a better look. She, of course, did not want to be seen, and ran immediately from under the house and across a field into a patch of tall grass and out of range.

Wow! I thought, amazing! I knew it was the same fox, although I don’t know how I knew that. So now I had 2 sightings and was definitely going to look it up. But, I had loaned my book to a friend, and so planned to wait a day or two and ask for it back.

Then, yesterday as I was riding, I was getting close to blue lodge but not quite there yet and out into the middle of the road walks Fox! Once again she is soaking wet, and she stood in the road looking toward the crossing, and did not see me. I could hear a car coming up behind me, and I called out, “Run, Fox, run!” and without looking back at me she scooted into the forest. The car then passed us both and I looked, but did not see her in the woods.

I knew it was time to look this up and yet, I had other things going on and had not gotten my book back so I decided to wait until Monday to get the book and read all about it. I knew there was some message, and I was ready to receive it, but thought no more about it that day. I knew come Monday I would spend time on this and really delve into it.

Spirit had other plans.

Today as I rode along, I got to the same place, just in front of the blue lodge and I could see buzzards up ahead in the cemetery. (Now, some may feel this is eerie or gruesome, but Native cultures know the Peace Eagle is a transformer of energy – that which has served it’s 3rd dimension purpose is transmuted into something else within the Peace Eagle body) I was curious to see what had passed on, what had taken the leap into the next world, and I paused at the cemetery entrance to observe the gathering of Peace Eagles. I briefly thought , “ Gosh, I hope it isn’t the fox”.

Wow, there were so many buzzards! Like a huge meeting come together to share and to celebrate the passing of this life into the next. As I hopped off the bike to take photos, the birds allowed me to get fairly close before scattering. As they flew away, I could see they left behind 2 feathers and I knew they were for me. I picked up the feathers with words of thanks, and moved toward the area where they had been feeding.

I already knew what I would find, but was a little saddened to see it anyway.

Fox had taken the leap, her carcass barely recognizable as the buzzards cleaned her bones and left hardly anything behind for the ants and flies. I knew it was her, because there were some small tufts of tail fur near the bones.

I gathered (with permission) a few fur tufts and two bones that were clean and separate from the body. I gave a blessing and rushed home to read all about Fox. Even though I was waiting for my book, I knew I had to get busy reading and hearing the message.

I had already in my mind felt that it had something to do with my recent discover of information surrounding Disclosure and Ascension. And, to my recent reading of a fabulous book by Lucia Rene’ “Unplugging the Patriarchy” about the end of the Patriarchy society and a return to the Feminine and to balance, a move to higher vibrations and the leaving behind of all that does not serve us, and to really seeing the possibilities of our own power. We who carry Light are about to start a new chapter, and our world is about to change forever… and I knew Fox had something to share.

Boy, did she ever share! What a message!

Ted Andrew’s Book “Animal Speak” is available on Amazon and similar sites, and I urge you to order it if you feel interested in the messages of animals in your life. I shall edit and paraphrase the points that leapt out at me, although you can read most of his writing on the Amazon site by using the “look inside” feature.

FOX: Keynote: Feminine magic of camouflage, shape-shifting and invisibility

There are 21 species of fox. The fact there are 21 species has great significance: The Tarot card 21 is The World. It is a card that reflects a new world opening up, that the process of creation has begun. The world is growing and changing into new patterns that are beneficial.

Fox is an animal of the “between times” when the veil is thin between worlds of day and night. Fox brings information about moving between worlds and that new areas are about to open up, both unseen and unheard before now.

Fox is associated with woman, and has been for centuries, with cultures telling tales of women who were really foxes. Their cunning, sly and demure ways charmed men, but they held great power (not something men always like) and could create magic and shape-shift into different forms. Men who need the feminine side will fear Fox, but he can use her power to bring himself into balance. The Fox tail, which extends horizontally (a feminine form) acts as a rudder guiding the energy into creative paths and keeping it on track. The Fox tracks are in a straight line, one behind the other and reflects a straightforward expression of Feminine energy.

While a member of the canine family, Fox is feline in nature, with a small catlike appearance and movement. It walks on its toes, much like a cat. It can also run up a tree like a cat. It has elliptical eyes like a cat. It hunts like a cat, dainty and graceful and light-footed, leaping on its prey with its front paws. The feline nature is feminine energy given greater expression and movement, and reflects the need to assert the feminine creative energies.

Fox are blind and deaf when born, but move to other extreme very quickly. The huge ears and keen eyesight allow it to see and hear things at great distances. Its sense of smell is also extremely acute. Those with Fox totem are (or will be) able to see and hear things in the mystical realms, and to discern information that others cannot (smelling something isn’t right).

Smell is also associated with kundalini, the sexual energy. It is the strongest energy of the body and a red fox in particular can indicate the opening of the kundalini.

Fox are monogamous, but also live alone for 5 months of the years. They are great parents to their young, but also comfortable with solitude. They love their home (den) and return to it each year, adding to it and changing it for more comfort. Those with Fox totem also love their homes and keep them comfortable.

Mostly, Fox is a survivor. It is hunted unnecessarily, being blamed for chicken losses and other problems. Yet, it survives with it cunning ways and adaptive measures. It can camouflage itself and be invisible, a trait the can be used with great ability by those with Fox totem.

Much gratitude for Ted’s insight and masterful descriptions.

What does all this mean to me? That I have received new power in the direction of Ascension and to helping empower the Feminine energy so needed right now to help heal Mother Earth.

Fox is showing me way to “hide” and “be invisible” during a time of great upheaval, and to know I am in power to see, hear and “smell out” any information needed to survive.

I believe Fox presented herself to me in a way that describes what is currently about to occur in MY world and in THE world (if there is any difference?) She appeared at a crossing…I have been at that crossing in my life for some time now. She then ran alongside me, sharing her knowledge and showing me the path. She appeared in the middle of the road, but never looked back as took the leap out of dangers way (the car) and then was quickly transformed into a new light-body and a new level of experience. Her energy was transmuted and I was allowed to witness the end of one life and the beginning of her next.

Not to leave out Buzzard who participates on a regular basis in my life. Here are some words by StarStuffs, gotten online:

Buzzard-Vulture:

Buzzard or Vulture teaches the power of purification of the mind, body and spirit. Vulture aids accomplishing tasks through great patience and vision, using your sense of smell and discernment, and how to glide and soar with your own energy. He teaches efficiency in actions and promises that changes are imminent. He shows how to restore harmony of thoughts and feelings so one can reach new heights with little effort. Buzzards will aid in uncovering truths, clarifying previous conceptions, and allow to see and hear subtle hidden qualities using intuition and awareness. Buzzard can teach confidence and the ability to stand with dignity and soar with clarity and purpose. He shows how to seek a new and heightened vision while increasing sensitivity. It is time to soar above your perceived limitations. Are you currently undergoing an internal death and rebirth cycle? Are you ready to assert your actions from your ideas? Buzzard will aid in transforming knowledge to bring the unconscious to conscious and teach how to soar above it and bring the transformation you are needing at this time. Are you ready for these lessons of awakening?

Clearly I must be! And yet, even with my interest and lightwork in the other realms, I am still in the 3rd world density and must live here, so… I must live here! No hiding out in the ethers - just live, enjoy, learn, and never let my light go dim, and to continue using the powers my God gave me to grow and to assist others when asked.

All my gratitude to the Creator for speaking to me in such beautifully ways: thorough animals and plants, as well as other interesting modes of communication. Blessings an light to Fox and Buzzard. I’ll keep your gifts alive and in mind.

Remember: Love is all there is.
